Introduction

Respite is an offline, account-free emotional-regulation toolkit for Android. This policy explains what the app stores and, more importantly, what it never does: collect, transmit, or have access to any of your data.

Respite has no account, no login, and no server. Everything you log stays only on your device until you export or delete it yourself.

Information We Collect

We collect nothing. Respite stores the following locally, on your device only:

None of this is ever transmitted anywhere. There is no server for it to go to.

What Respite Does Not Do

In-App Purchases

Respite offers one optional, one-time in-app purchase ("Respite+") using Android's built-in Google Play Billing. Respite never sees or stores your payment details; that exchange happens directly between your device and Google Play, governed by Google's Privacy Policy. This is the only feature in the app that touches the network at all.

Exporting and Deleting Your Data

Inside the app, Settings → Export & Data lets you:

Exported files are only created when you tap Export, and only go wherever you choose to send them (save, share, print). Respite itself never transmits them anywhere.

Permissions

Respite requests no runtime permissions for its core tools. It does not need camera, microphone, contacts, location, or storage access to function.

Children's Privacy

Respite collects no personal information from anyone, including children, because it collects no personal information at all.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy ever changes, the "Last updated" date above will change with it. Any change that would mean Respite starts collecting data it doesn't collect today would be a different product; that is not planned.
