OptiVest is a private investment ledger app for small, trusted groups. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
By using OptiVest, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
Account information: When you register, we collect your name, email address or phone number, and a hashed version of your password.
Investment data: Project names, transaction amounts, member roles, task details, and uploaded documents that you voluntarily enter into the app.
Device information: Basic device identifiers and app version for crash reporting and support purposes only.
We do not collect: Payment card numbers, bank account details, government IDs, or any sensitive financial credentials.
Your data is stored on Cloudflare's global edge infrastructure and a Neon (PostgreSQL) database hosted in the Asia-Pacific region. All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. Passwords are stored as salted hashes — we cannot recover your plain-text password.
Files and documents you upload are stored in Cloudflare R2 object storage with private access controls.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may disclose information only if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
Within a club or project, members you invite can see the data you share with that group (project records, transactions, tasks). You control who you invite.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Investment records shared with a group may be retained by that group's admin.

OptiVest is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you in-app. The updated policy will always be available at this URL. Continued use of OptiVest after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
